Nothing But Bones in the Way was originally a title for an improvised performance. Footage of that performance has been included as well as archival video of the dancers\u2019 studio practice. Direction & Editing: Dianne Reid; Camera: Lindesay Dresdon; Music: Mark Lang & Jo Quail; Stills Photography: Damien Hinds Dianne Reid is an independent performer, choreographer, camera operator, video editor and educator. She was a founding member of Outlet Dance in Adelaide (1987\u201389) and a member of Danceworks from 1990\u201395. Dianne completed a Master of Arts in Dance on Screen in 2001 and has lectured in contemporary dance and dance video at Deakin University since 1996. From 2004-2006 she was Artistic Director of Dancehouse before receiving an Asialink Performing Arts residency to India in 2006 at Darpana Academy of Performing Arts. Since 1993 she has created close over 40 screendance works, many of which have screened internationally. In 2012 Dianne received a Best Dance nomination for her solo work \u201cDance Interrogations\u201d at the Adelaide Fringe. She also toured the solo work to the Edinburgh Fringe, and as a duet with Melinda Smith (a dancer with disability) at the Footscray Community Arts Centre, and at the inaugural Salamanca Moves contemporary dance festival in Hobart, Tasmania, where it won the A.W.A.R.D. show to return in 2017 as part of the Ten Days on the Island Festival. Dianne recently completed a PhD in screendance and performance improvisation.
