Prompted by his father\u2019s injury from an industrial accident, /Semi-detached/ involved the construction inside Tate Britain of a full-scale replica of the exterior of his parents\u2019 suburban home. He also discusses his meticulous, delicate drawings as well as the ideas and directly personal concerns that underpin his unconventional art. Michael Landy RA is one of the Young British Artists. He is best known for the performance piece installation Break Down, in which he destroyed all his possessions, and for the Art Bin project at the South London Gallery.
